New Games in Decentraland

Decentraland offers anyone with an idea and some technical know-how the opportunity to develop their own game in the metaverse. Whether it’s side-by-side with other content creators on the open-world Genesis City map or in a more private World, every day creators are harnessing the power of Decentraland’s SDK 7 and building new games for the community to enjoy.

Recently, a whole crop of new games popped up in Decentraland for this year’s music festival, DCLMF23—if you haven’t played them yet, you need to check them out! There’s challenging puzzle platformers, immersive colorful worlds, medieval RPGs, collaborative party games, and more.

Metadyne Labs: Rat Scape

Metadyne Labs: Rat Scape is not your average maze, but you’re not an average rat! Put your strategizing skills to the test and see how fast you can make it through 13 levels of challenges, carefully constructed by the resident mad scientist. He wants to test, not just your agility, but your cunning too. Choose carefully where and how to use your Rat Blaster to open gateways throughout the maze and save precious time to reach the top spot on the leaderboard.

Make it through the 13 levels and see if you can collect all 10 rewards—some will be tricky to unlock! Find them all and you’ll leave with 9 Wearables and a special Emote that will ensure you never forget your time in the maze!

Metamorphic

Be transformed by this gamified art installation and soundscape from Tangpoko and House of Tang. It’s all about metamorphosis. Match the music hidden within an immersive garden to transform the resident caterpillar into a butterfly, and watch as her whole world changes. This metamorphosis not only highlights the your development within the game but also echoes the broader, cyclical nature of life and regeneration overall.

Knights of Antrom Music Quest

You may already be familiar with Knights of Antrom, an established P2E game in Decentraland where you can farm, craft, and fight in an immersive world. Now, set out on a new adventure—the Knights of Antrom Music Quest—to help a medieval village restore its lost music. An evil bard has stolen all of the village’s songs—will you be the one to defeat him and return the stolen melodies? You’d better be prepared for an epic boss battle and great Wearable prizes!

Soundscape

Jam with friends at Soundscape, a new collaborative game-experience from the Decentraland Foundation. Wade into a flowing river scene filled with surreal interactive objects that make sounds or beats, from alarm clocks and musical instruments to cascading waterfalls. Explore every corner of the landscape to find more instruments you can use to make your own music. Then bring your instruments into the river to activate them with the rhythm stones—adding their sound to the collaborative music loop. Every sound you add can be heard by everyone else in the Soundscape, opening the possibility of improvised performances with players across the world.

TowerCraft

Build with friends at TowerCraft, another new gaming experience from the Decentraland Foundation. In this collaborative 3D art creation game, you’ll work together with friends to create your own unique stacked tower, inspired by stacked cairns and carved sculptures inspired by art from around the world.
