Pride + Watch Party Season 5

Pride is coming to Decentraland, and this week’s newsletter is all about showing up together. From the return of Watch Party Wednesday with a special Pride Edition to a two-week celebration in Genesis Plaza, there are plenty of reasons to jump in.

WATCH PARTY WEDNESDAY RETURNS

This Watch Party season brings together powerful documentaries about artists, outsiders, icons, and people whose stories are often left out of the mainstream. It also marks our first series featuring non-English films, opening the door to more global stories and richer cultural perspectives.

From Cantonese opera in Cuba to queer artists hidden by museums, Korean American identity, Romanian family secrets, and the cultural mythology of Barbie, these films explore how people perform, protect, question, and reclaim who they are.

PRIDE COMES TO GENESIS PLAZA, JUNE 15 to 30

The celebration begins on Monday when Genesis Plaza transforms with a special Pride theme, filling Decentraland’s central gathering place with color, visibility, and celebration. Across the fortnight, the community can come together for Pride-themed events, special screenings, music, and shared moments of connection.

One highlight of the celebration is the Decentraland Pride Party on Thursday, June 18, featuring special guest community DJs bringing the soundtrack to a night of Pride, dancing, and celebration in Genesis Plaza.

Everyone is invited to wear their brightest rainbow looks 🌈 , show their Pride colors, and gather with the community for one of the most joyful moments of the fortnight.

The first week also includes Watch Party Wednesday: Pride Edition with The Female Closet on June 17, followed by Cult Horror Club: Pride Edition with Night Tide on June 19.
