Announcing the first-ever IRL Decentraland Community Summit

On May 22-24, 2024, the DCL community will take a momentous leap from online interaction to in-person connection when they meet for the Decentraland Community Summit in Argentina, the birthplace of Decentraland!

An invite-only event, attendance depends on your application. Community members that actively contribute to the Decentraland ecosystem (through creative work or by building relationships & hosting events) as well as technical builders and partners that are interested in being a part of Decentraland’s future are warmly welcomed to apply.

The main goals of the event are to enhance the human connection between community members, celebrate community achievements, gather feedback and insight, and look towards the future of Decentraland.

With three action-packed days of interactive workshops, immersive discussions, and celebratory events, attendees will not just witness the evolution of Decentraland but actively participate in it.

Selected applicants just need to get themselves to Argentina and all of the lodging, dining, and social activities will be covered! If covering your flights poses a challenge for you, don’t give up hope just yet! A DAO grant has been proposed to sponsor a few travel scholarships for attendees in need, so you may be able to apply for the scholarship and attend.

Applications to attend the Decentraland Community Summit are open from now until December 8, 2023, but the earlier you apply, the better! Click through to the official announcement to learn the full details and apply.

Decentraland Music Festival - Save the Date!

From Nov 16-18, Decentraland will witness the rebirth of music in the metaverse with the most innovative Decentraland Music Festival yet!

While previous editions featured headliners like Bjork and Ozzy Osbourne under the banner of Metaverse Music Festival, in its 3rd consecutive year, #DCLMF23 offers only the most pioneering digital-native performances with the spotlight fully on Decentraland and its community.

Prepare to discover an alternative reality built by 16 award-winning teams of virtual creators and game designers while you experience the latest in immersive music experience.

Capture Game Trial Launch by Soul Magic! | Decentraland Events

In the mystic world of Arcania, where magic flowed like a river and fantastical creatures roamed. The gigantic Kraken and immortal Phoenix had long been bitter rivals. In Capture card game, you will represent either Kraken or Phoenix and capture the territories on the board. PvE (vs computer) version of the game will be launched on 8 November for all players to get a taste of the game. PvP Quest Mode and minting are expected to take place a few days after.
